Whenever attending outdoor classes, please always remember to bring, Water, Hat, and Weather Appropriate Clothing.  You may also want to bring Knee Pads and/or Elbow Pads depending on the class you choose.
There are several nearby lunch options or you may bring your lunch.

Beginning Pistol Class
NRA HOME FIREARM SAFETY CLASS    $65

Time:  2 hours
Prerequisite:  None

This Non-Shooting class teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.

Students will receive:

  • NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook
  • NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure
  • Basic Firearm Training Program brochure
  • Class completion certificate
Beginning Pistol Class
NRA BASICS OF PISTOL SHOOTING    $149

Time: 8 hours - Classroom and Range
Prerequisite:  None - intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience.

Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely.
Includes classroom and range time learning to shoot either a revolver or semi-automatic pistol.


Students earn NRA rules for safe gun handling, pistol parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions, cleaning the pistol, and continued opportunities for skill development.  Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. 


Students will receive:
  • NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook
  • NRA Gun Safety Rules card
  • Marksmanship Qualification Program booklet
  • NRA Basic Pistol class completion certificate

Requires :

NRA BASICS OF RIFLE SHOOTING    $149

Time:  8 hours - Classroom and Range
Prerequisite:  None

Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a rifle safely.
This class is  eight hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a bolt action or semi-automatic rifle.
Students learn NRA rules for safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the bench rest position, and standing position, cleaning the rifle, and continued opportunities for skill development.
Students receive; NRA Guide to the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook; NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure; Marksmanship Qualification Program booklet and class completion certificate.

Basic Tactical Pistol Class
NRA DEFENSIVE PISTOL    $165

Time:  8 hours
Prerequisite: This class is for law-abiding adult citizens, and experienced shooters.
Must have the ability to load magazines unassisted and run your gun safely. Verifiable proof of completing any NRA Pistol class, military with ID,DD 214, Law Enforcement (Current/Retired) or passing the prerequisite assessment. Contact us for further acceptable training.

 
This is an ADVANCED CLASS
The NRA Defensive Pistol Class will focus on the techniques needed to develop a defensive mindset. The goal of the course will be to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to carry and use a concealed pistol ethically, responsibly,and with confidence. You will learn ways of carrying a concealed firearm, basic principles of concealment, the difference between cover and concealment, drawing from the holster, levels of mental awareness, developing the proper mindset when using a pistol for personal protection, clearing common stoppages, use of pocket pistols, and more.


Students will receive:

  • Minimum of 150 rounds, 200 recommended.

  • Quality Strong Side Holster.
  • Holster MUST cover the trigger guard when the gun is holstered.
  • 3 Spare Magazines or 4 Speedloaders (Minimum).

Intermediate Tactical Pistol Class
NRA PERSONAL PROTECTION IN THE HOME    $160

Time:  8 hours - Classroom and Range
Prerequisite: This class is for law-abiding adult citizens, and experienced shooters.
Must have any of; NRA Basic Pistol class certificate, NRA FIRST Steps class certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the prerequisite assessment.

Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development.

Students will receive:

  • NRA Gun Safety Rules card
  • Marksmanship Qualification Program booklet
  • Class completion certificate.

Intermediate Tactical Pistol Class
NRA PERSONAL PROTECTION OUTSIDE THE HOME    $199

Time:  9 hours Level I + 5 hours Level II.  Total 14 hours over 2 days - Classroom and Range
Prerequisite:  This course is for law abiding adult individuals who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm and are of good repute and possess defensive pistol skills presented in the
NRA Basics Of Personal Protection In The Home Course.

Participants must also understand the basic legal concepts relating to the use of firearms in self-defense, and must know and observe not only general gun safety rules but also those safety principles that are specific to defensive situations. Prospective participants can demonstrate that they have the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes by producing an NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course Certificate, or by passing the pre-course evaluation.

The course is divided into TWO levels. LEVEL ONE is nine hours and offers the essential knowledge and skills that must be mastered in order to carry, store, and use a firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home. Students spend several hours on the range and shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition during level one. Upon completion, students may choose to attend LEVEL TWO, which is an additional five hours on the range and an additional approximate 115 rounds of ammunition learning advanced shooting skills.
Time and ammunition requirements are minimum, and may be exceeded.

Advanced Tactical Pistol Class
NRA PISTOL INSTRUCTOR COURSE     $339

Time:  16 hours - Classroom and Range
Prerequisite: Instructor Candidates must be proficient in firearm safety and marksmanship skills. Candidates must also display knowledge of each pistol action type.
  • ​All Instructor Candidates must first complete the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course.
  • All Instructor Candidates must qualify on an NRA Instructor Pistol Target

Basic Instructor Training (BIT) is the first 7 hours followed by 10 hours of Pistol Instructor Training. Instructor Candidates should expect to shoot approximately 75-100 rounds of ammunition. Instructor Candidates must satisfactorily complete the Basic Instructor Training Course (BIT) prior to the Basic Pistol Instructor Course to receive endorsement as an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor.
Each Instructor Candidate will receive a pre-course questionnaire and qualification exercises administered by the NRA Training Counselor. Students will learn how to teach an NRA class, policies & procedures, ethics, course preparation, generating publicity, evaluating beginning pistol shooters, safety and much more.

Students will receive;
  • NRA Trainer's Guide.
  • NRA Pistol Instructor PowerPoint & Teaching Guide.
  • NRA Pistol Instructor Appendix.
  • Upon successful completion of this class, Instructor Candidates will receive an endorsement as a Certified NRA Pistol Instructor, if appropriate.

Requires :
  • Eye & ear protection, can be provided.
  • Reliable pistol, Revolver or Semi-Automatic.
  • Gun bag or case (no holsters).
  • 1 magazine or speed loader (minimum)
  • Approximately 75-100 rounds of pistol ammunition (not included).

Advanced Tactical Pistol Class
NRA RIFLE INSTRUCTOR COURSE     $339

Time:  16 hours - Classroom and Range
Prerequisite: Instructor Candidates must be proficient in firearm safety and marksmanship  skills. Candidates must also display knowledge of each rifle action type.

NRA PPITH INSTRUCTOR COURSE     $290

Time:  9 hours - Classroom and Range
Prerequisite: Instructor Candidates must be proficient in firearm safety and marksmanship skills. Candidates must also display knowledge of firearm action types.
  • ​All Instructor Candidates must first complete the NRA Basics of PPITH Course.
  • All Instructor Candidates must qualify in yhe Instructor Qualification.

Basic Instructor Training (BIT) is not offered with this course.
Instructor Candidates should expect to shoot approximately 100 - 150 rounds of ammunition. Instructor Candidates must satisfactorily complete the Basic Instructor Training Course (BIT) prior to the PPITH Instructor Course to receive endorsement as an NRA Basic PPITH Instructor.
Each Instructor Candidate will receive a pre-course questionnaire and qualification exercises administered by the NRA Training Counselor. Sessions will cover how to teach the course and operate the range safely with the range exercises.

Students will receive;
  • NRA Teaching Guide in a 3 ring binder.
  • NRA PPITH Instructor PowerPoint & Teaching Guide.
  • NRA PPITH Instructor Appendix.
  • Upon successful completion of this class, Instructor Candidates will receive an endorsement as a Certified NRA PPITH Instructor, if appropriate.

Advanced Tactical Pistol Class
NRA PPOTH INSTRUCTOR COURSE     $309

Time:  16 total hours,  Approximately 8 hours each day.  - Classroom and Range
Prerequisite: Instructor Candidates must be proficient in firearm safety and marksmanship  skills. Candidates must also display knowledge of each pistol action type.
  • ​All Instructor Candidates must first complete the NRA Basics of PPOTH Course.
  • All Instructor Candidates must qualify on an NRA Instructor Pistol Target

Description: The course is split over two days.  Day one is teaching the essential knowledge and skills that must be mastered in order to carry, store, and use a firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home. Students spend several hours on the range and shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition during level one. Day two,  is also eight hours on the range and approximately 150 rounds of ammunition. In structor Candidates will be  teaching advanced shooting skills. Time and ammunition requirements are minimum, and may be exceeded. 
Each Instructor Candidate will receive a pre-course questionnaire and qualification exercises administered by the NRA Training Counselor. 

Students will receive;
  • NRA PPOTH Instructor Candidate Pack
  • Instructor PowerPoint & Teaching Guide.
  • Appropriate (level one/level two) Course Completion Certificates(s).
  • Upon successful completion of this class, Instructor Candidates will receive an endorsement as a Certified NRA PPOTH Instructor, if appropriate.

Beginning Pistol Class
NRA RANGE SAFETY OFFICER CLASS    $159

Time:  9hours
Prerequisite:  None

Become A Range Safety Officer
This course is only conducted by an NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, certified to train NRA Range Safety Officers. 


This nine hour course is conducted in a classroom, and at a shooting facility. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. The RSO course content consists of RSO's roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and range rules, firearm stoppages, malfunctions, and Range Safety Briefings which include procedures to follow in the case of an emergency.

RSO's who have successfully completed the course then have the ability to become a Chief Range Safety Officer, someone essential to training and supervising NRA Range Safety Officers and developing range standard operating procedures.


THIS IS A NON-SHOOTING COURSE. 


RSO candidates need to be familiar with a wide range of pistol, rifle and shotgun action types, and must have a high regard for the safe handling of firearms.

Beginning Pistol Class
NRA HOME FIREARM SAFETY CLASS    $65

Beginning Pistol Class
NRA CHIEF RANGE SAFETY OFFICER CLASS    $249

Time:  7 hours - (If you also need to take BIT 14 hours)
Prerequisite:

Completed NRA Basic Instructor Training Course (BIT) within TWO years 
Completed NRA Range Safety Office Course

This is one of the most advanced certifications offered by the NRA. The NRA CRSO Course is authorized to run the Range Safety Officer training classes. Candidates must be current NRA Certified Instructor or have completed the NRA’s Basic Instructor Training (BIT) before taking this course.

The CRSO must have not only extensive knowledge of the RSO program, but be familiar with range design and use. The CRSO is responsible for developing the Standard Operating Procedures for a working range.The CRSO should be able to determine the best use of a property for shooting. They should understand outdoor shooting requirements, including grading and berm development. Also an understanding of bullet proofing, bullet trap technology, lighting and air flow for indoor ranges.

Once the course is successfully completed the RSO will be upgraded to a NRA Chief Range Safety Officer.

CRSO Candidates will receive:

  • NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure
  • Basic Firearm Training Program brochure
  • Class completion certificate

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel at least 10 days, prior to class or training, your enrollment is refundable after a $25 finance charge. If we are notified of a cancellation within 10 to 7 days, prior to class or training, a 50% refund will be issued. There will be NO refunds given if a registrant cancels with less than 7 days before the class or training start time and date. No refunds will be given for No-Shows.
